Terms & Conditions

  • Quotations are valid for 3 months (subject to change) from date of quotation. Once a deposit is paid this confirms you will pay the contract price. All further installments should be paid on time and as stated on the agreed payment schedule/invoice. Failure to pay any invoice in full without confirmation in writing from Magic Lofts could invalidate any guarantees given and slow the progression of the works as work could halt.

  • A deposit is required upon acceptance of the quotation, together with a signed contract detailing the cost and works. Stage payments will be required as the work progresses, with the balance to be paid in full on completion of the works. Building certificate won't be released unless payments have been completed.

  • Part of deposit will be refunded in the unlikely event of cancellation on our part for any reason or should the local authority refuse the work to be carried out and no happy medium met, minus any costs incurred by Magic Lofts Ltd. (i.e. survey, plans, admin, applications etc), if additional costs have been incurred by Magic Lofts, these costs will need to paid by customer.

  • Any work required to be carried out to the existing electrical or plumbing systems, which do not comply with necessary regulations or are not adequate to run additional loads will be classed as extra work and will be added to bill. (i.e. Boilers, fuse boards, wiring etc.)

  • If the bathroom suite provided by the client is in anyway customized or out of the "normal" there may be an added cost for installation.

  • Electrical items: Spots are a choice of white, shiny chrome, brushed chrome or brass. Sockets and switches are white as standard, other finishes would be additional cost unless specified at quotation stage.

  • Any extra works will be quoted for and confirmed with Magic Lofts and customer first before starting and should be paid on completion of said additional work.

  • All work carried out by Magic Lofts Ltd complies with all necessary health & safety and building regulations requirements.

  • Magic Lofts Ltd has the following insurances in place with more than adequate cover amounts: Public Liability Insurance with built in Contract Works Cover (All Risks), Professional Indemnity Insurance and Employer's Liability.

  • Magic Lofts Ltd cover all their work with a five year guarantee from the completion date. Excluding fair wear and tear, "acts of God", extreme weather conditions including winds/storms/fire/water or damage through neglect or misuse.

  • Storm damage is not covered and especially where there are weather warnings with yellow, amber and red warnings.

  • Keylite Roof Windows carry a 10 year manufacturer guarantee but it is responsibility of the customer to register their newly fitted windows online with Keylite.

Magic Lofts Ltd reserve the right to repossess from either the client or any receiver or liquidator in the event of non-payment.

  • Warranty is solely an agreement between client at time of build/contract and Magic Lofts, warranty is non-transferable between homeowners and 3rd parties.

  • Any work that is tampered with or altered in any way will not be covered by the warranty.

  • Maintenance will need to be carried out by client including renewing silicones, greasing window hinges etc.
